In my own words - Stuart McLaren

The Queensland Roar defender is living his dream of being a pro footballer... and is a man that won’t die wondering

I am Stuart McLaren.

I play for Queensland Roar.

I grew up in Queensland.

As a kid I wanted to be a footballer.

I love my family.

The last person I called was my brother.

I drive people up the wall.

I love eating out.

I think too much about football.

I get embarrassed when I’m wrong.

I wish I never got injuries.

My first memory is letting the handbrake off in my Dad’s car.

I’m hopeless at household chores.

I promise I’ll never quit.

Friends say I never take a drink

When I’m not playing football I am with my daughter and dogs.
