TONIGHT'S emphatic 4-0 victory over North Queensland was played down by Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka as the Sky Blues continue their successful pre-season form.

The Czech said after the friendly that there was plenty of room for improvement despite the easy victory - Sydney's eighth on the trot without conceding and their first against A-League opposition.
"We are still in pre-season. I have good feeling from this game but no celebrating. Pre-season is still going," he said after the game.
"We still need to improve. We have many turnovers [in the first half]. We need many things to improve.
"But I am satisfied. Satisfied with team unity ... the players are working hard every session. I'm satisfied but keep humble."
It's been a message the Czech coach has been repeating throughout pre-season as he looks to fine-tune his side for a tilt at the title.
Sydney play-maker Steve Corica added that a clean sheet was a another positive from the 4-0 drubbing - and he and the team are revelling in playing a game a week during the 15 weeks marathon that is an A-League off-season.
"We've played more games this pre-season," said Corica. "Of course that helps. We're better organised with our shape.
"Because we've played so many games it's given us the opportunity to work on our shape.
"I'd say we're better prepared [at this stage] than last year."
Karel Kissel was rested for tonight's game while Simon Colosimo was given time off for personal reasons.
Tonight's crowd was was a fantastic response by local fans. Played at the home of NRL club the Sharks, just over 5,000 turned up for a pre-season friendly in wintry conditions and without Robbie Fowler on show.
By contrast, the Sharks' NRL game at the SFS pulled only about 2000 more supporters. Lavicka paid tribute to the fans.
"We do it for the fans," he said.
