A NEW version of the 'leaked' controversial new Socceroos top has been revealed online, complete with badge, logo and shirt number - and it looks...slightly better!

Kit website footballshirtculture.com this week published pics alleged to be the new Australia top for the World Cup that were roundly criticised by fans on a variety of forums.

The mix of aquamarine green shoulders, white hoop and yellow torso was largely hated by the fans who saw them.

But a new pic today - said to be put together by a photoshop whiz – with improved colours and genuine looking Australia badge, together with Nike swoosh and shirt number gives a new perspective on the design.

Although it still looks like Ireland are now going to World Cup after all (or at least their tricolour flag is), the reworked colours and shadowing is a marked improvement on the initial pics.

The public will get their first official glimpse of the new kit at the Socceroos farewell match in Melbourne in May ahead of the World Cup.
