Tournament promoter Grant Caunter said the Tiger Street Soccer concept is a huge event across Asia and now Australia gets a chance to taste the action.
“It’s so much fun to be a part of because it is such a fresh idea," he said.
"The street soccer tournaments in Asia attract millions of viewers on ESPN and in August we will have an Australian team in Malaysia taking on the rest of the world.
“It is just such an amazing format to be part of with such incredible skill on the court and arts, music and street performers all around it.”
Throughout April the search will be on for the 16 finalists who will compete in the final in Sydney on Saturday June 30.
They’ll play for the chance to become Australian Tiger Street Soccer Champions.
And if you win the prize is a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to compete in the Asian Finals and represent Australia.
