Aussie goalkeepers were in the thick of the action overnight with Mitch Langerak putting in a full shift for Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund who continued their fine form with a 5-2 thrashing of Kaiserslautern.

The win puts Dortmund on 78 points, equalling Bayern Munich's record points tally from the 1998/99 season.

In the Premier League it was a tough day at the office for Mark Schwarzer when Everton put four unanswered goals - including one from fellow Socceroo Tim Cahill - past the Fulham keeper.

Meanwhile EPL-bound Adam Federici's Championship-winning side Reading suffered a rare 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City. The Aussie keeper did his rising reputation no harm, however, by pulling out a stoppage time penalty save.

Elsewhere in the Championship it was bad news for Socceroos Rhys Williams and Scott McDonald after Middlesbrough fluffed their chance of an npower Championship promotion play-off, losing to Watford 2-1. Williams played the full 90 while McDonald came off the bench on 58 minutes.

Shane Lowry played a full game for Millwall who were held to a 2-2 draw by promotion-chasing Blackpool.

Neil Kilkenny was on the bench for Bristol City but saw no action in the 1-1 draw with Burnley. His side managed to rescue a point in bizarre circumstances despite playing 30 minutes with a defender in goal after David James left the field injured and no keeper was named on the subsitutes bench.
