Australia NewsAloisi Switches To Aussie Rules |
Ross Aloisi is set to switch football codes this week. Just days after he parted company with the Reds, the former Utd skipper is ready to try his hand at Australian Rules Football.
Former Socceroo Aloisi will tomorrow train with Woodville West Torrens AFL club, the reigning premier of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).“It’s awesome that they even let me train with them,” an excited Aloisi tells www.au.fourfourtwo.com.
Aloisi is a regular supporter of the Eagles, who play the Magpies in round two of the SANFL this weekend.
“If there’s a scratch match, I’ll join in, otherwise I’ll do some of the cardio work with the boys but I may sit out some of the AFL- specific drills.
It’s believed Channel 9 will also cover the event. “It’ll keep me fit should I play for another A-League club,” added Aloisi.
In other news, Aloisi’s brother John has spoken with a newspaper in Adelaide and that story will be published this weekend.
In it, amongst other things, it’s believed the Socceroo striker will discuss his brother’s departure from Adelaide United.
