SOCCEROO hero Harry Kewell is being lined up for a $5million move to Spain, according to reports in the UK.

The Liverpool winger has been linked with a move to former Fulham boss Chris Coleman's new club, Real Sociedad in the Spanish Segunda Division.

The Daily Mirror reports today: "Boss Coleman has a brief to restore the image of his Spanish club and believes he can do so with the likes of Kewell, 28."

They claim the Spanish club could move for Kewell before the end of the week to do the deal before the current transfer window closes.

Liverpool have enjoyed a bright start to the new season despite Kewell once again being on the casualty list with another groin strain.

He missed almost the whole of last season through injury and had hoped to revive his fortunes with a successful Asian Cup campaign to ease him into the new Premier League season.

But he now back in the treatment room with just 12 months left on the four year contract he signed when he moved from Leeds United in 2003.

Since joining the Reds, he has made 124 appearances and scored 16 goals.

New signings at Liverpool have made his position at Liverpool less vital, but he may baulk at moving to the second division in Spain.

But other Premier League clubs are unlikely to gamble on his fitness, given his recent injury history.
