JETS coach Gary Van Egmond admitted he was thrilled to leave Westpac Stadium with the 1-0 win over Wellington Phoenix.

“They definitely had the best of the first half and probably the first 10 or 15 minutes in the second," he admitted.
"But the boys defended very resolutely on the edge of the box – very desperately at times – and we took our chance.”
Van Egmond credited Ante Covic with keeping the Jets in the match but the keeper himself a little more circumspect.
“We got a fortunate goal, in one sense, but sometimes that’s what you need throughout the season,” Covic said.
Coach Ricki Herbert and his players were left to rue what might have been after creating several clear-cut scoring opportunities against the Jets but failing to convert them.
“That’s one that really got away,” Herbert said. “We probably should have won it three or four times over.
"Coming from last week, where we needed to tidy things up defensively, we’ve conceded one of those goals – a ricochet off somebody. It’s not created, it just happens.
He added: "I thought for the majority of the game they wouldn’t score, I thought we were very much in control and had good chances to win it. We started well but we needed to score to keep that momentum going.
"But at the end of the day it’s about outcomes for all the players and it would be nice to get into better goalscoring positions.”
It was a bittersweet result for Aloisi, who was playing in his 50th Hyundai A-League match.
“It’s nice at the end of your career to have notched up a significant milestone but this game for me was about getting three points," he said.
"I’m gutted – I’m more disappointed than I was last week (after the loss to the Mariners). I know that every time you lose you’re upset, but I’m more upset this week because we should have won the game.”
