THE FFA has piled on the pain for Steve Corica adding to his two match ban with a fine for speaking out about his red card against Victory.

Corica yesterday admitted he'd let his side down by getting sent off but still insisted the decision was wrong.

"I'm still upset about it," he said. "Even though I've only seen the challenge once since then, it's definitely a little bit hard.

"When he pulled the red card, I didn't believe it...you look at a few other incidents at the weekend, other challenges, and they got away with it."

Corica was automatically banned for one match for the instant red card after his studs up challenge on Steve Pantelidis, and the suspension was doubled by the FFA after a disciplinary panel review.

Now they have fined him for his post-match comments too.

"Sydney FC player Steve Corica has been fined for breaching the Hyundai A-League Code of Conduct," said an FFA statement this evening.

"The undisclosed fine is in relation to disparaging remarks that Steve Corica made to the media regarding the performance of the match officials."
