THREE Matilda stars have signed for big Californian club Pali Blues and are set to make their USL W-League debut in May.
Australian World Cup star strikers Sarah Walsh and Caitlin Munoz as well as playmaker Collette McCallum have signed for the Pacific Palisades based club.
The USW W-League runs until July however it is unclear if Pali Blues' Aussie trio will have to miss club games in the US to represent Australia at the Asian Cup in late May and early June.
"I cannot say enough about what this means to our franchise and the league itself,” said Pali Blues coach Charlie Naimo.
“The Australian National Team had a breakout performance in this past summer’s World Cup, and the Blues are honored to have three of their best performers."
The Aussie girls are set to make their debut on the road against the Ventura County Fusion on May 10.
The following weekend, the Blues will play their inaugural home match at the “Stadium by the Sea” when they host the Los Angeles Legends on May 17.
The Pali Blues are in their first year as a franchise and are considered one of the most professional clubs in the league. They have sponsorship, a picturesque stadium and a strong off-field structure.
