No Place for Kerzhakov In Russia Squad
DYNAMO Moscow striker Aleksandr Kerzhakov has been left out of Guus Hiddink's provisional Russia squad for this summer's Euro 2008.
The forward returned to Russia from Sevilla earlier this season to increase his chances of playing in Austria and Switzerland but was not named in a preliminary 25-man party on Wednesday.Two uncapped players have been selected in Oleg Ivanov of Krylya Sovetov Samara and Alexander Pavlenko of Spartak Moscow, while Zenit St Petersburg forward Andrei Arshavin wins a place despite being suspended for the opening two matches of the tournament.
Hiddink will trim his squad to 23 before May 28.
Russia are set to play three warm-up matches against Kazakhstan, starting at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Moscow on May 23.
