A REJUVENATED Mark Bosnich trained for the first time with Central Coast today as part of a two-week trial with the former Man Utd keeper not shutting the door on a Socceroos return.

Speaking after a spirited training session at Bluetongue stadium, a session which saw Bosnich bark instructions to his defence almost non-stop during a small-sided game, the former Villa glovesman said he was just happy to be back on the paddock.
"The session was great, the facilities are great, the weather is great," he said. "My fitness is quite good.
"What I need to improve on is some coordination with the ball. But that will come, we've got a month to go before the start of the season."
Bosnich flew into Sydney at 6am this morning after a 26 hour flight from London. He said he'd been working out for the last three weeks with a boxing trainer, although he admitted he needed to shed another two kilos to hit his ideal playing weight.
"Sometimes you don't miss something until it's gone. I was fortunate enough to have that seven months with QPR last year which got me back into the swing of things," said Bosnich.
Bosnich was amongst friends today with a massive media contingent warmly welcoming the 36-year-old.
And the Mariners' goalkeeper coach John Crawley played against Bosnich in his junior days while the club's development manager Alex Tobin is a former Socceroo teammate.
"We haven't brought Mark out here to waste his time or ours," added Mariners Chairman Lyall Gorman. "We're certainly looking forward to talking with Mark's representatives."
There seems little doubt that if Bosnich trains well he would be an ideal replacement for banned keeper Danny Vukovic, who will miss the early stages of the new A-League season.
"It's just nice to be back part of a dressing room and back in Australia. I've got no targets or expectations but I have that hunger back.
"But it's not my decision, it's the manager's. I think I'm ready for it and I'm looking forward to this trial period," said Bosnich.
And Bosnich did not rule out a Socceroo return in the future. "What I learnt is that you never shut the door on your nation. I learnt that.
"I just want to get back to work."
