WOLVES enjoyed a morale-boosting 4-2 victory over Paul Ince's Blackburn in an entertaining friendly at Molineux.

George Elokobi put the Coca-Cola Championship side ahead after nine minutes when he nodded home David Jones' cross but it took Rovers just seven minutes to equalise, Matt Derbyshire converting after good work from Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Andy Keogh restored the home side's lead with a simple finish from four yards but again the Barclays Premier League outfit drew level.

Roque Santa Cruz was the scorer, finishing after being released by veteran midfielder Tugay but the Paraguay striker took a knock in the process and was soon substituted.

Things got no better for Ince's men after half-time with Chris Iwelumo making it 3-2 from the penalty spot and Matt Jarvis scoring the pick of the goals to seal the win after 75 minutes.
