WOLVES escaped a humiliating defeat by League Two minnows Accrington at Molineux as they came from behind to win 3-2 in extra-time.

Derby also needed 120 minutes to beat League Two Lincoln but Nathan Ellington's hat-trick proved just about enough to get the win after his side had been trailing until seven minutes from time.

Crystal Palace came from behind to beat League One visitors Hereford 2-1.

Moses Ashikodi (41) scored the opener for Hereford, only for Nick Carle to equalise on the stroke of half-time with a fortuitous long-range effort.

Summer signing John Oster then earned the win for the Eagles with his goal on the hour.

Jermaine Beckford scored a hat-trick as Leeds won 5-2 at League Two Chester.

Brighton enjoyed a 4-0 romp at home to Barnet while Huddersfield beat Yorkshire rivals Bradford by the same scoreline.

Colchester won 1-0 at League Two Gillingham and Grimsby beat Tranmere 2-0.

Hartlepool beat Scunthorpe 3-0 while Leicester won 1-0 at home to Stockport courtesy of Steve Howard's goal.

Darlington won 2-1 at League One Walsall, Northampton beat Millwall 1-0 at the New Den and Carlisle enjoyed a creditable 1-0 win at Shrewsbury.

Steve Brooker's late header gave Bristol City a 2-1 win over Peterborough.

Notts County beat Doncaster 1-0 thanks to Myles Weston's extra-time strike.

League Two Rotherham beat South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday 5-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 after extra-time.

Ten-man Oldham beat Rochdale 4-1 on penalties while Cheltenham won 1-0 at Southend after extra-time.
