EXCLUSIVE: Eleven days after the Olyroos' crashed out of the Olympics, coach Graham Arnold is still dodging the Australian football media and has not answered questions about his failed campaign.
The coach did not take up his seat in the dugout for the Socceroos' friendly against South Africa last week, despite being an assistant Socceroo coach.Instead he has been spotted in China, where he has stayed in the Olympic village, presumably to watch the rest of the Games.
With the FFA defending his decision to stay on, the question now is: will Arnold come home and face the music now that the Olympics are over?
If he doesn't come back to Oz, Arnold may head to Holland in the lead up to the Socceroos' September 6 friendly against the Oranje, thus avoiding the local media till at least September.
The former Northern Spirit coach has a contract with FFA till 2010 but his club career in Holland, coupled with his working relationship with the likes of Guus Hiddink, could open coaching doors in the Netherlands.
