THE SOCCEROOS have new injury worries on the eve of their friendly with Holland ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan.

Defender Matthew Spiranovic has been bizarrely ruled out for the two matches due to 'unanticipated dental surgery', according to the FFA.

And Mark Milligan and Vincenzo Grella will also be assessed further after being unable to complete training yesterday.

Milligan had to be helped off the field during the Socceroo training session overnight after breaking down with an apparent knee problem.

Meanwhile Harry Kewell has spoken of how much he's looking forward to Saturday night's game against the world's number four ranked team, Holland.

The Qantas Socceroos and the Netherlands have only met once before, as a lead-up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, when they drew 1-1.

"It's an important match for us," said Kewell today. "Obviously the Dutch are a good team.

"We are going out there to win the game and I'm sure the Dutch are going to do the same.”

“It's going to be a very good warm-up for us for the Uzbekistan game.”

Kewell said he and the entire squad is focussed on getting to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The match against Uzbekistan on Thursday morning (Australian time) is the first of eight matches in the fourth stage of qualification.

Kewell added: “We are going to go out there and show the world what we’re capable of doing.”
