EXCLUSIVE: We've all had our say on the worst signings in the A-League and feathers were ruffled, but what about the best moments?

We rifled through the archives to find ten moments that made us proud to be A-League fans.

In no particular order...(click on the heading in red to relive the magic moment)

Goodbye Rudes
This wasn't manufactured for TV. This was real emotion and respect. With a move to Japan sealed, veteran Mark Rudan bade farewell to the SFS in his 50th and final game late 2007. At the final whistle, Sydney FC players formed a guard of honour at the Cove end before "Rudes' made an emotional goodbye to the fans. Those fans stayed long after the final whistle chanting "Mark Rudan is a big blue man" till they were blue in the face. It was the moment Rudan went down in Sydney FC history as a club legend.

Bozza's back
The cheeky smile shone even brighter as a lost son of Australian football strode out on Bluetongue Stadium to debut with the Mariners. It was only a pre-season game but it was Bozza – the lost soul of Australian football – who hadn't played a competitive match for around seven years out there doing his thing in an A-League match. And when he saved Steve Corica's penalty, even some on the Sydney side seemed happy. Bozza was back. What a moment.

Glory's fight club
What's the first rule of Glory fight club? You do it in the dressing room... not, as Jamie Harnwell and Adrian Webster did, in front of the main stand and a national audience on Fox Sports. As a forgettable game against the Reds wrapped up, the cameras panned across to see the feisty Kiwi and the big defender having a frank and honest exchange of blows. Ron Smith intervened in the mayhem as Glory's team spirit was laid bare for all to see. Top entertainment. Better than the game to be honest.

Robbo Robs Reds
Archie Thompson may've scored five in the grand final two weeks later, but in the major semi the unheralded James Robinson – who'd signed from the state league during that grand final winning season as cover behind Thompson and Allsopp – grabbed the headlines with a winning header in injury time against Adelaide that literally rocked the Dome. And the celebrations showed what it meant to the bit part player who suddenly found himself centre stage bringing a grand final to the Dome. It was passion personified. Still brings tears to the eyes of Victory faithful.

Carle's Genius
What, just one best moment from the Jets legend? Well, if there's to be one it would have to be his 60m run and goal in 2006 at EA Stadium. Winning a header in his own half, the little maestro ran, weaved and jinked through the Adelaide backline – got a handy shepherd from Joel Griffiths too – before running on and toe-poking it past the keeper from just outside the box. The Jets piled on top of their number ten as the fans went berserk. And it was Carle's first goal in a year. The greatest ever A-League goal?

Simon Says
No bland, media managed responses from the Glory captain last season. After letting slip a lead to finish 3-3 with Roar in Brisbane, the skipper couldn't help but tell it like it is to Fox Sports in the post-match chat. When asked about Glory's point on the road, a fuming, sweaty, tired Colosimo was in no mood to be diplomatic. "It was crap" he said. A moment of refreshing honesty in a season of boring cliches.

Zullo's zinger
An old-fashioned winger with a left peg, Zullo is a gem of a talent. And his debut goal last season was equally flashy. Against Phoenix in round 7 the teenager smashed the ball home from the edge of the box to lift the home side with a sublime finish. You could argue this was the moment that turned around Queensland's season.

Cole's goal
Like Zullo, Cole's come through the state leagues and shown that you don't need to spend big on overseas talent in the A-League. Cole's free-kick goal this season against the Mariners in round two was a piece of magic made in the streets of Sydney. A man down at 2-2, Cole coolly slotted home a Beckham style free kick before wheeling away in delight with the traveling Cove. The moment a star was born in the A-League.

Kossie Versus Musky
Two fierce combatants, one loose ball, time ticking away as the ball dribbled out in front of the Reds bench at Telstra Dome. Coach Kossie gets his hands to the errant ball but not quickly enough for Kevin Muscat, who barges the little guy over in his chair, setting off a barney that made news worldwide. For pure theatre, this moment was gold.

Smeltz Melts Hearts In Welly
Just five months after the club was given the go-ahead and Wellington Phoenix took their A-League bow against the reigning champions Melbourne Victory. Two goals down the Kiwis fought back to 1-2 with a Daniel header before Shane Smeltz popped up right at the end with a dramatic last minute header to make it 2-2. The champions were rattled; Phoenix had taken their first point. And the Yellow Fever fans were delirious.
