EXCLUSIVE: Mark Bosnich is said to be keen on representing an Oceania XI against LA Galaxy next month but organisers are running out of time to finalise the deal.
LA Galaxy are set to play the Oceania All Stars on December 6 at Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium (Ericsson Stadium) in a one-off exhibition game featuring drawcard David Beckham.Auckland Regional Council, which is bankrolling the match, is insisting on a deadline of today (Tuesday) for its Oceania squad listing so it can begin promotions and advertising for the match.
Bosnich - a former Oceania Player of the Year - has been touted for some time as the star name in a side lead by former French World Cup winner Christian Karembeau, but dominated by no-name Solomon Islanders, Fijians and others from New Zealand, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
The Oceania All Stars recently failed in a bid to sign Brazilian superstar Ronaldo for the one-off game.
Players in the Oceania squad include former A-League player Henry Fa'arodo from the Solomons and ex Dutch league defender Ivan Vicelich of New Zealand.
Bosnich's Sydney-based agent Richard Briggs told au.fourfourtwo.com he's has not received any paperwork from the game's organisers regarding his client's appearance.
"He's keen, but it all depends on the organisers," he said. "There have been some names bandied about but we haven't heard from them so at this stage you probably know more than we do about the game."

One Aussie confirmed as part of the Oceania All Star line up is team coach Jim Selby – the OFC technical director of coaching.
The MLS side was to have continued onto Australia to play Queensland Roar at Suncorp stadium on December 11.
However, this game was cancelled after it was revealed star man David Beckham would be joining AC Milan on loan and therefore would need to take a break before moving to Italy in early January.
