Welcome to the inaugural au.fourfourtwo.com newsletter

What a week it's been, both for Australian football and all the guys at au.fourfourtwo.com

We're near the end of our first week of existence and we've been chock full of football news, views and videos for the entire time. And that's a great reflection of how football has captured the hearts and minds of not only the hard-core fans but of mainstream Australian sports fans.

We love the look of the new website and hope you do to. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, stop whatever you're doing and look at the best the game has to offer.

Paul Hansford
Editor, FourFourTwo

PS The April edition of Australian FourFourTwo went on sale yesterday, so make sure you pick up your copy now. Not only does it feature interviews with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Muscat and our End of Season Awards, but it also includes a free 2006-07 Season Review Magazine. Subscribe now

Four... things we loved this week

1

Australia News
Rushy to Adelaide?
In our Rumour Mill section, a clued-up fan has posted a story that ex-Liverpool legend Ian Rush is applying for the Adelaide United job. Are we sure Aurelio Vidmar hasn't just grown a dodgy 'tache?

2

Ronnie's wonder goal
Sure it happened a few months ago but this is just pure football magic. Then again, if the goofy one could control the ball on his chest properly he wouldn't have needed to be so flash.

#7 Says
All hail Heather Garriock, not only a Matilda with 85 caps to her name, but now a regular blogger on au.fourfourtwo.com (now she knows what a blog is, that is!)

4

World News
Odd Balls
A collection of the weirdest football stories around, including a keeper bombarded with food waste from an overlooking residential building.

Two... things that made us laugh

1

Australia News
Viduka Anthem to Boost Charity
Why is it that all tribute songs are so bad? The only saving grace to this ode to the exploits of Socceroo Mark Viduka is that all the proceeds go to charity.

2

Blogs
On the Couch
Our regular Blogger Kevin Airs gives us a sideways take on the events in the European and Asian Champions League, including a link to the hilarious Benny Hill-esque fight at the end of the Inter Milan v Valencia match.
