Richard Cann The unwanted issue of crowd violence returned to Australian football with some trouble reported in Melbourne last weekend, but the FFA has been quick to act. It certainly sparked our bloggers into action - and it's worth reading what they had to say. Was it over the top reporting? Is this a great chance to re-affirm our committment to family-friendly football in this country?

These problems failed to overshadow a great round of A-League football though! There were great stories in every match with Perth finally breaking its 18-match winless streak in style, John Aloisi showing his value, Socceroo wannabe Reinaldo showing he actually can play, and more than 30,000 turning up for a tense Melbourne vs Sydney duel.
