1 Australia News
Socceroos Get Green Light For Iraq
It's been a dramatic week, but FIFA has finally said "game on" to the Socceroo-Iraq qualifiers. The news has been celebrated by the Iraqis, as it would have been a shame to see the reigning Asian Cup holders booted out of qualifiers. Don't forget to come out to Star City this Sunday to watch the match on the big screen with 442Live.

Socceroos To Take On Italy
Big news this week - the Socceroos will get a chance at revenge against the Azzurri sometime in 2009. It's uncertain where and when it will take place, as that depends on next season's fixtures for both squads. With a number of Australians tipping Italy to win Euro 2008, this match may test allegiances. Hopefully it will also be without ridiculous penalties.
