No A-League fixtures this weekend, just the small matter of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup next week. In case you needed reminding, the Qatar game is on Wednesday 15th in Brisbane.

What a result for Adelaide this week in their ACL semi against Bunyodkor. Not only is this great for the Reds, but great for everyone in Australia to see an A-League team doing so well in Asia. This in the same week that the Socceroos climbed the FIFA world ranking to a lofty 34th position, only two behind World Cup qualification rivals Japan.
