In the news this week, English striker Robbie Fowler is jetting out to Australia, with North Queensland Fury his likely club destination. I was alarmed one of our online readers commented they didn’t know of this Fowler fella or “God” as the Liverpool fans still call him. So for some of our younger readers or those new to the game, Fowler has scored over 170 career goals for the likes of England, Liverpool, Leeds, Man City and errrr Cardiff. He’s been hit by injury in recent years, but the 33 year old knows exactly where the back of the net is and we’d fancy him to get a few in the A-League too.
Elsewhere, Jason Culina's dad Branko has spoken out to quell speculation that the midfielder will definitely be moving to Gold Coast United for next season and it’s favourable groups for Newcastle and Central Coast in the Asian Champions League.
