This week, Newcastle Jets have slipped in turmoil after owner Con Constantine's brinksmanship with a transfer bid for Joel Griffiths potentially backfired. The club did a dramatic U-turn on their interest in a record $1 million bid for star striker Griffiths from Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan and now Griffiths has come out to say he wouldn’t mind a crack at the CSL actually.
Elsewhere, Socceroos midfielder Tim Cahill has reiterated that a return to Australia remains a long way down the track as he acknowledges the sacrifices made by his parents in helping him reach the top.
