It is hard to look past Adelaide United coach Aurelio Vidmar and his amazing post-match outburst for this week’s biggest news. Branding his home a “pissant town” and blaming the Reds’ 4-0 drilling at the hands of Melbourne on “politics” sparked some rare interest in an A-League post-match conference. As Queensland Roar’s Frank Farina highlighted recently after being asked a mildly interesting question: “I don't have a view, if I have a view I get in trouble. I'm going to be boring”. Quite. Give us a Viddy blow-out any day of the week.
Elsewhere, Pim Verbeek says he hopes the A-League does not lose its entertainment factor and Tim Cahill is eagerly anticipating the A-League Grand Final, where he is backing close friend Archie Thompson to fire Melbourne Victory to glory.
