This week, the man known as “God” by Liverpool fans, Robbie Fowler, landed in Townsville ahead of his surprisingly low-key entry into the A-League fray with North Queensland Fury. Something not lacking broad publicity is Australia’s World Cup bid, where the powers that be have submitted their official bid to FIFA this week.
Elsewhere, Harry Kewell is back in the Socceroos squad for the qualifier against Uzbekistan in Sydney on April 1 and a brace from Newcastle striker Sasho Petrovski has handed the Jets a valuable 2-0 win over Ulsan Hyundai in their ACL tie.
