Your Week in Football

Many people bemoaned the Socceroos preparing for the World Cup by taking on a team labeled the "worst team at the World Cup" by some (not us, we love the All Whites, just listen to our podcast for further proof). But spare a thought for fans of one of the favourites - two time champions Argentina are playing ice hockey-mad Canada this week. News that Maradona plans to try out Messi, Tevez and Higuain as a front three won't really even the balance either.

You know you're a great manager when you've already won the biggest cup in club football in your new club's stadium... and you haven't even joined them yet. We're referring to Jose Mourinho FC (does anyone even care it happened to be Inter Milan?) winning the treble at the Bernabeu of course, before walking into the sunset to join Real Madrid themselves. After titles in native Portugal, then England and Italy, Mourinho will look to do the same in Spain before probably leading a nation to World Cup glory.

Speaking of charismatic managers, Ian Holloway has managed to haul seaside town Blackpool (think the Gold Coast with less hot women and more rain) into the EPL. It's going to be worth it just for post-match quotes like these.

A final mention for Nike's brilliant new ad, starting Drogba, Cannavaro, Ronaldo, Ribery, Rooney as a baked bean-eating hobo and Homer Simpson! Check it out here...

Oh, and a final, final mention for an opportunity for you to be part of a Guinness World Record attempt. All you have to do is watch 30 pre-recorded and live games back to back.
