Your Week in Football
First off, we're delighted to only see one draw in Round Three of the A-League over the weekend, as the season got into full swing with another sorry set of results for last season's grand finalists and another impressive result from those Fury boys.

First up on Friday night was the battle of two winless sides, with Adelaide continuing Heart's underwhelming entry into the league with a 3-2 win. It was all about the kids for the Reds, with youngsters Iain Ramsey and Mathew Leckie grabbing the goals.

Saturday witnessed Perth move clear at the top of the early ladder with a slender victory over Newcastle Jets, which should have been more complimentary to the home side if they hadn't proved so wasteful in front of goal. We then saw newly good Brisbane Roar beat newly rubbish champions Sydney 1-0. Who would have thought playing 5 ft 7 in youngster Kofi Danning as a solo striker would prove so ineffective?

Harry Kewell would have been happy to see Graham "pure poison" Arnold lose his first game as Mariners coach in Wellington on Sunday. Our player of the season last term, Paul Ifill, scored a cracker as the Phoenix ran out 2-0 winners. Closing out the round was a quite incredible draw between Melbourne Victory and North Queensland Fury, as two Kevin Muscat penalties wasn't enough to beat nine-man Fury!
